Phoenix - Girlfriend.
This is one of my favorite songs from my favorite album of the year, “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix” by Phoenix. Great music, excellent song. Check it out.
Why I hate my job:
- There is a sign that clearly states that particular items are on sale for 70% off… A customer as she is holding up one of those items: “Is this 70% off?”
- I am obviously folding and straightening a rack or table of clothes… A customer comes up behind me and looks through said clothes and messes up everything I just did.
- A customer drops something on the floor and knows I saw them drop it… BUT does not pick it up.
- There are racks of clothes that are sized and the hangers they are on are color coded as to what size they are… After trying on small sized clothes and deciding they do not what those clothes, the customer places those smalls with the pink size rings on them into a rack of mediums where the size rings are PURPLE.
- Customers who try on 6+ items and does not buy a single one and they know ahead of time they aren’t going to buy any of them.
- Girls who only go into stores to try on clothes and take pictures of themselves in said clothes, not buying a single item.
- When I say excuse me to get by someone, and they do not move or barely move.
- When women bring in their kids to a store and don’t pay attention to what their kids are doing. For example, pulling on all the necklaces, shaking a mirror, hiding in racks, dropping their food all over the place, knocking down displays, etc.
- When guys come into a store to look for girls.
- When someone is talking on the phone when I am ringing them out. This is rude no matter what the situation. Yes I am servicing you, BUT I am a person just like you.
- When someone tries to knowingly pass a bad check.
- When a customer has me get down an item from the top of the wall… seeing how much work and time it takes to do so… then says nevermind.
- Bitches who try to steal.
- People who use bad grammar. “Where dis at?” “How much dis?” “I like dem!”
- When a customer tries to get my attention by saying anything other than “excuse me?” or “pardon me?” For example, “Yo!” or “Hey!”
- When a customer does not ask but commands… Instead of “Can you get this down for me?” It is… “Get me that medium down.”
- When the store closes at 9:00PM and it is 9:30PM and a customer is taking their time shopping.
- Women who don’t dress age appropriate. Unless you are a small woman you should not be shopping at a junior’s store if you are 30 years old and up.
These were just a few of the reasons why I hate my job. But thank goodness it is ending. I don’t recommend working woman’s retail ever.
